Jevtic: Serbs do not provoke conflicts, Pristina does

Strpce Mayor and the Serb List Vice President Dalibor Jevtic said today that yesterday's gathering of Serbs from Kosovo in Rudare clearly showed not only unity and harmony but also that when times were difficult, all Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija, both north and south of the Ibar, had a common message that they wanted to be on their own and live in peace, RTV reports.

Jevtic said for Prva TV channel that it was not the Serbs in Kosovo who were provoking any escalation of the conflict by their actions but that it was done by Pristina's statements.

"When someone says that the barricades will be removed along with the casualties, that is a clear message of what someone's goal is," Jevtic pointed out.

He pointed out that Serbs from Kosovo said clearly at the meeting yesterday that they did not see the problem between the two nations but in the one who leads the Pristina government, Albin Kurti.

Jevtic emphasized that Kurti had been provoking with unilateral moves since he became prime minister and added that the question for the international community was – what is it doing to prevent Kurti from starting a conflict with the goal of expelling the remaining Serbs from Kosovo.
