Kosovo Ministry of Internal Affairs: Information campaign on implementation of the Law on Vehicles and the Law on Foreigners to begin on November 1
The Kosovo Ministry of Internal Affairs announced that from November 1, 2025, until January 15, 2026, it will conduct an intensive information campaign aimed at “all citizens of Kosovo and foreigners with temporary or permanent residence in Kosovo.” The campaign will focus particularly on informing the public about the requirements for participating in traffic on the territory of Kosovo.
According to the ministry, the campaign will be carried out through meetings with citizens, discussions with civil society organizations, as well as informational activities in the field, in local and national media, and through official communication channels. The goal is to clarify questions and resolve uncertainties related to the implementation of the Law on Vehicles and the Law on Foreigners.
“A special focus of this campaign will be to inform citizens about the conditions for participating in traffic on the territory of Kosovo, especially regarding vehicles registered in foreign countries and the application of legal provisions related to such vehicles,” the ministry stated.
The campaign will also provide practical guidelines for “the entry, movement, residence, and employment of foreign nationals in Kosovo.”
“The Ministry of Internal Affairs, in close cooperation with the Kosovo Police, remains committed to ensuring open and transparent cooperation with all citizens, without discrimination, with the goal of fair information, full implementation of the law, and fulfillment of legal obligations,” the statement added.
They called on citizens to follow the official announcements on the websites of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Kosovo Police for more information.
