Lekaj: Kurti is not seeking a solution, but an alibi for his own failures

Pal Lekaj, an official of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo, stated that the authorities are deliberately pushing Kosovo toward elections and that the sole responsibility lies with Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti, who, according to him, is not seeking a solution but rather an alibi for his own failures.

“With such an exclusionary mindset of the authorities, the country is being consciously driven toward elections. This is not accidental incompetence—it is a strategy to avoid responsibility. When you fail to build consensus regarding the election of a president, it shows that you have fundamentally failed as a governing majority,” Lekaj said.

He added that if new elections are held, all responsibility will lie with Kurti, as, according to him, the Prime Minister is using Kosovo as a tool for political calculations.

Lekaj emphasized that the political crisis is not accidental, but rather the result of the ruling majority’s inability to cooperate, Gazeta Blic reports.

“The one responsible has a name and surname: Albin Kurti. He uses the state as a tool for political calculations. Instead of uniting the political spectrum, he divides it for his own interests. Kurti is not seeking a solution, but an alibi for his failures,” Lekaj concluded.
