Loncar: Directors of Serbian institutions are victims of a fabricated process, arrests politically motivated

Serbian Health Minister Zlatibor Loncar assessed that the decision by the Kosovo authorities to order detention for seven directors of Serbian institutions was politically motivated and stated that the individuals concerned are respected professionals and doctors who are victims of what he described as a fabricated process and political campaign.

Loncar pointed out that among those detained are three heads of healthcare institutions from central Kosovo, emphasizing that these are people who have performed their duties for years in accordance with professional standards and medical ethics.

“I express my strong protest against such a decision and emphasize that these are top professionals, respected and honorable doctors who have carried out their work for years in full compliance with all ethical and professional standards, and who are now victims of a fabricated process and the political campaign of Pristina and those who wish nothing good for the Serbian people in Kosovo and Metohija,” Loncar stated.

He assessed that nowhere in the world has it been recorded that heads of healthcare institutions are kept in detention as part of a political campaign and “groundless insinuations,” according to a statement issued by the Serbian Ministry of Health.

“Nowhere in the world has it been recorded that the leading figures of key healthcare institutions are held in detention as part of someone’s political campaign and unfounded insinuations,” the minister stressed.

Loncar added that the Serbian Ministry of Health, together with the State of Serbia, will continue to provide support to Serbian healthcare institutions in central Kosovo.

“The Ministry of Health, together with the State of Serbia, will continue to support Serbian healthcare institutions in Kosovo and Metohija even more decisively and will make special efforts to assist the affected healthcare institutions in central Kosovo and Metohija,” Loncar concluded.
