The General Director of Telekom Serbia, Vladimir Lucic, stated today that Pristina's intention to terminate the company's services in Kosovo will not succeed and is part of their strategy to displace the Serbian population. He added that after several meetings during his visit to Washington, he feels more optimistic, RTV reports.

"I believe the situation we are in is quite favorable for us and that the adventure the Pristina administration is pursuing with the two Pristina-based operators will not succeed. The Brussels Agreement clearly defines our position, and we have their approval," Lucic said. He emphasized that the administration of Kosovo's Prime Minister, Albin Kurti, discriminates against Telekom as an operator solely because it is Serbian.

He also noted that Telekom employs 250 people in the area and provides services to 30,000 households.

"This conflict they started with us last August, initially aiming to shut us down, and when they failed, attempting to block our further expansion, is purely part of their plan to displace the Serbian population," Lucic stressed.

Telekom is actively pursuing a license to operate a 5G network across the entire territory of Kosovo, which Lucic also discussed a month ago.
