Maqedonci in a letter to the KSF members: We will continue the transformation into a force with full military capabilities

The newly appointed Minister of Defense of Kosovo, Ejup Maqedonci, sent a letter to civilian officials of the ministry and members of the Kosovo Security Forces, in which he said that the transformation of the KSF into a force with full military capabilities, ready to fulfill its vital mission in three key points - the defense of the territory, participation in international missions and providing support to civil authorities.

In the letter that he shared on Facebook, Maqedonci emphasized that he had had the great honor of serving Kosovo all his life, and that assuming the duties of Minister of Defense was a special responsibility for him.

"During my service in the KSF, thanks to the outstanding work of soldiers, officers, and civilian personnel, I witnessed the transformation of the Kosovo Security Forces from a force of limited capacity to the professional army it is today. Based on the reports we created in different periods of joint work, I am convinced that we will continue to make progress in the direction of fulfilling the goals of integrating into the Euro-Atlantic structures, to be a significant ally of our partners," Maqedonci said.

He pointed out that they had reached the mentioned point thanks to tireless work, but also cooperation with NATO, allied countries, and especially the USA.

"We will continue to develop the capacities of the Ministry of Defense to ensure effective strategic leadership and democratic oversight of the Kosovo Security Forces. We will continue the transformation of the KSF into a force with full military capabilities, ready to fulfill its vital mission in three key points: territorial defense, participation in international missions, and providing support to civilian agencies and authorities," Maqedonci said.

He is excited, he says, to begin leading "a professional institution of civilians, soldiers, and officers" who will work together to solve problems and achieve goals.

"Together we will contribute to the development of the Ministry of Defense and the KSF, thus ensuring the sovereignty and protection of the territorial integrity of Kosovo," Maqedonci concluded.
