Mayor of Tirana: It's a matter of time until Albania and Kosovo become one

Mayor of Tirana Erion Veliaj said that it was a matter of time until Albania and Kosovo became one, Telegrafi reports.

Veliaj, appearing on a show on RTV Dukagjini, stated that Albanians were each other's biggest obstacle.

"Most obstacles in today's Albanian world are created by other Albanians. So, you have to understand that Kosovo is free and independent, and Albania is free and independent. Only we can prevent success", Veliaj said.

When asked if he envisioned Albania and Kosovo together, he emphasized that he had "always seen them together".

"I believe it's just a matter of time until we see ourselves together in Europe. Probably my most beautiful memories are from Pristina when I was twenty years old", Veliaj added.
