Serbian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ivica Dacic, said in a statement for Kosovo Online that the centuries-old movement aimed at creating a "Greater Albania" represented the greatest threat to peace in the Western Balkans and even in Europe, after the Ukrainian crisis.

Regarding the renewed display of Greater Albanian symbols in Pristina on the Kosovo Security Force Day, Dacic said that Serbia saw and condemned all of it. However, as he stated, it is essential to understand that a part of the international community, even though "seeing it with its own eyes, does not believe those eyes or overlooks it."

"Whether this silence means agreement with what the Albanians are doing is a matter for our assessment. But certainly, considering the strength of various statements that come when anyone from the Serbs mentions an issue that someone does not like, you can see that no one speaks out or condemns anything regarding the 'Greater Albania.' Therefore, it gains a certain significance because it becomes a legitimate goal that all Albanian political parties are fighting for, whether they are in Kosovo, Albania, North Macedonia, Montenegro, or southern Serbia. There is a continuous, centuries-old movement that precisely aims for that. We have always said that it is the greatest threat to peace in the Western Balkans, and I could say even in Europe after the Ukrainian crisis," he explained.
