Milicevic: Kurti's goal is to destabilize the entire region

Minister without portfolio in charge of coordinating activities and measures in the field of relations with the diaspora, Djordje Milicevic, said that there was no question of de-escalation of the conflict and that Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti was a threat to the stability of the entire region, Pink reports.

Milicevic pointed out that while important talks about the European future of the Western Balkans had taken place in Athens, in which the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, had also participated, and while the de-escalation of the conflict was being discussed, "at the same time, the continuation of the escalation of the conflict and the continuation of the terror policy of the Prime Minister of the temporary Pristina institutions Albin Kurti is happening through his self-proclaimed and illegal mayors in the northern part of Kosovo and Metohija".

As he stated, the goal of Kurti was the destabilization of the entire region.

"Unfortunately, there is no talk of a de-escalation of the conflict, Kurti is definitely a threat, not only to the de-escalation of the conflict in the area of Kosovo and Metohija but also to the stabilization of the entire region, his last visit to North Macedonia, where the features of the 'Greater Albania' were glorified and displayed, is in support of this, the street was renamed Adem Demaci Street, who is his ideologue and role model, someone who spent 28 years in prison," Milicevic told Tanjug, adding that the bad thing was that there was still no reaction from the international community.

"It is very important that we always pay serious attention and think about our children and the Serbs who live in the area of Kosovo and Metohija, but also that we think about the Albanians, about the Albanian children who live in the area of Kosovo and Metohija and to ensure a common life for the Serbs as well and for the Albanians, and that is a clearly defined state policy," Milicevic pointed out.

Referring to the events at the Summit in Athens, Milicevic said that it was important that the President of Serbia had fought to ensure that the provision concerning the introduction of sanctions against Russia was not adopted in the declaration passed at the summit and that this had nothing to do with international public law.

"When we talk about public international law, the matter is clear, Serbia respects the territorial integrity and sovereignty of other countries; the President clearly pointed that out during the conversation with the President of Ukraine, but also that Serbia expects that the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Serbia is respected, as we do so by respecting international public law," Milicevic said.
