Milojevic: We have lease agreements, PAK entered the Post Office without any notice

The director of Post of Serbia for Kosovo and Metohija, Ivan Milojevic, described today’s action by the Privatization Agency of Kosovo (PAK), which seized inventory from a branch in North Mitrovica, as an act of force, emphasizing that it occurred without any prior notice from the agency.

Milojevic stated that the only communication they received was an email from the Kosovo Police, despite holding valid lease agreements for the premises they occupy.

“It is hard to comment when emotions are high. Today we are once again subjected to violence, unfortunately, by institutions from Pristina. As a Kosovo and Metohija working unit, and I as the director, received an email from the Kosovo Police instructing us to vacate all nine sealed Post of Serbia properties in the north. Although we have been leasing these premises from Trepca North for many years, they claim it is under the management of the Privatization Agency, which is issuing these orders without any official documentation or notice. We received an email from the police, not the Privatization Agency, instructing us to remove our belongings and that we have no place there,” Milojevic said.

He reiterates that the action constitutes violence, particularly as it was carried out without proper notification, despite the existence of a valid contract with Trepca.

“What is the ultimate goal? To replace Serbia Post with PTK? Clearly. Serbia Post is a subject of negotiations in Brussels, yet they are intruding in this cowardly way, using force and police, and without any official documentation. Even today, when they removed items, they provided no paperwork to our colleagues. I couldn’t be there physically because I was traveling from Leposavic. Based on what police officers said, I fear that we will face similar situations with other properties owned by Serbia Post in the coming period, despite having valid documentation,” he said.

He adds that an additional issue is the inability to access important documents, as the archives are located in one of the sealed Serbia Post facilities.

“I appeal, we will not allow this to happen, we will fight with all legal means,” Milojevic concluded.
