Milosavljevic: KFOR and EU to react to Berisha's threats of war
Without the Community of Serbian Municipalities (CSM) there is no peacekeeping, not only in our southern province, but in the whole of Europe, and I hope that in some way there will be an attempt to implement the CSM, because that is the key to everything, said a member of the Institute for Political studies by Zoran Milosavljevic, reports Politika.
Milosavljevic commented for Tanjug on the statement of Democratic Party of Kosovo deputy Hisen Berisha "that Kosovo is ready for war and will fight for Nis, Kursumlija, Raska and Sandzak" and pointed out that this is a provocation to which international actors should respond.
"So, this is a direct provocation, a direct threat, and I think that it is now up to the institutions of KFOR and the EU, because now the authority of the United Nations has passed to them, to react. They have to react with a report, they have to give an opinion, it has to be written down", Milosavljevic assessed.
He added that the statements of the representatives from Pristina do not face any condemnation, as does the expropriation of land, which, according to him, is an illegal process of intimidating the Serbian population.
When asked whether the EU's special envoy for dialogue, Miroslav Lajcak, during his recent visit, understood the message of the Serbs from Kosovo who pointed to the repression by Pristina, Milosavljevic said that the European diplomat knew our region and the situation in it very well.
Milosavljevic assessed that it is difficult to trust Pristina and continue the negotiation process, if what was agreed upon is not fulfilled.
"How can we believe and move forward if what was elementary, fundamental, basic has not been implemented," declared Milosavljevic.
Concluded that it is important to implement what was agreed regarding the CSM, as well as that it is necessary to put an end to escalations and threats.
