Muharremi: The government deepens poverty to control voters
Analyst Shenoll Muharremi assessed that Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti and Self-Determination want citizens to be as poor as possible, so that, as he stated, when they give them 100 euros in charity, they can be sure they have bought their vote.
“Most likely, because of such tricks and sins, even that vote is illegitimate, because it is clear that absurd things are happening and that they cannot calm down even with 51 percent of the vote… we are constantly going to elections. One part of the population does not have the ability (nor the education) to understand these deviations and deceptions, but they are punished by God and Kosovo,” Muharremi wrote on Facebook.
As he added, there is no other way to explain why the government, despite numerous calls for weeks, is not taking any measures to manage the oil crisis and help citizens and families in a difficult situation.
“Every day, the family budget is shrinking, debts are growing in banks because it cannot be endured otherwise. All countries in the region and the world that have been affected have already taken concrete measures. In addition to calls, the steps that should be taken have been clearly outlined by people who want the best for this country. And what has the government done? It has found and presented justifications for why it does not want to help citizens and families. It has not taken a single measure,” he stressed.
Muharremi believes there is no doubt that the current Kosovo government wants citizens to be as poor as possible.
“Their bad goal is that, when they give 100 euros in charity, they can be sure they have bought his vote. They increase the value of that charity by deepening poverty and the need for it. This is an act and a policy of shame the likes of which we have not seen among Albanians in history. A lack of solidarity, a lack of feeling to help one another. The misuse of public money to buy votes. It is as if the house is on fire, and the government watches from the side and does nothing. The house that feeds the government and pays taxes. Instead of acting, they gather, laugh, eat cakes and celebrate, like medieval mercenaries after a plunder,” he added.
This style, Muharremi recalls, was also seen last year, when, despite numerous calls and protests, the government did not help citizens and businesses, but instead increased electricity prices, creating a new wave of price hikes.
“As a consequence of these policies and inaction, Kosovo is emptying. Many citizens are seeking their fortune abroad precisely because of such behavior by the authorities. Kosovo is emptying every day because people have no other choice. And those who vote for them, despite everything we have experienced and seen in recent years, deserve even worse. Because they do not think with their heads, but with their stomachs. They do not wish well for themselves or their families, they do not think about the present and future of their children, but vote out of spite and because of poverty. They vote for the emptying of Kosovo and for the impoverishment of citizens to the point that they give up and leave the country,” Muharremi concluded.
