Office for Kosovo and Metohija: By arresting four Serbs in Pasjane, Kurti wants to escalate the situation
The Office for Kosovo and Metohija confirmed that this morning in Kosovo Pomoravlje, in the village of Pasjane, four Serbs had been arrested: Dragan Cvetkovic, Dragan Nicic, Milos Sosic, and Slobodan Jevtic. The Office described this as an act of evident terror aimed at escalating the situation and making life unbearable for Serbs. The Office for Kosovo and Metohija warns that this arrest is proof that there is no rule of law in Kosovo and that Serbs are being arrested according to Kurti's secret lists.
"Serb-hater Kurti continues to carry out terror against the Serbian people both north and south of the Ibar, as this is the only thing he knows how to do. It is clear that with these new arrests in Pasjane, the anti-Serb regime from Pristina aims to escalate the situation on the ground and make life unbearable for Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija. Once again, the Kosovo Pomoravlje, an area with the largest number of Serbs, has been targeted," the Office for Kosovo and Metohija stated in their announcement.
The Office noted that the four Serbs had been arrested on charges of committing alleged crimes, "even though these are people who have lived peacefully on their doorsteps for years without any problems."
"According to eyewitnesses and their families, ROSU police had lists of Serbs with them during the arrests but did not show any search warrants, clearly indicating that the detainees were arbitrarily taken based on secret lists and political motives," the Office for Kosovo and Metohija reported.
As they added, during the raids on Serbian homes, ROSU members ransacked the properties, broke doors, and beat and mistreated elderly people in the presence of their children and grandchildren.
"All detainees have been provided with free legal assistance immediately," the Office emphasized.
They clarify that the detainees have no connection with the war crimes they are accused of.
"Slobodan Jevtic was exempted from military service due to poor eyesight, and during his arrest, the front door was broken with a mallet. Dragan Cvetkovic is 90% disabled, having been previously wounded by Albanians, and is the father of a local priest. Dragan Nicic is a retired teacher, and Milos Sosic was the first member of the Kosovo Police in Kosovo Pomoravlje, which means he had to pass all security checks over 20 years ago," the statement highlighted.
They added that the Pristina regime, with these baseless arrests and attacks on Serbs, is entering an election campaign.
"It is evident that the Pristina regime, with these baseless arrests and attacks on everything Serbian, is entering an election campaign, as it has nothing to offer but pathological Serb-hatred, pressure, and persecution in all Serbian communities with the sole aim of expelling Serbs from Kosovo and Metohija. The question arises as to how the international community and missions do not realize that there is no rule of law in Kosovo, that Serbs are being arrested according to Kurti's secret lists, where being a Serb is enough to be guilty, and that these staged processes with false accusations aim at the final ethnic cleansing of Serbs," the Office for Kosovo and Metohija concluded.
