The Office for Kosovo and Metohija of the Government of Serbia announced that today Nikola Todorovic, a doctor employed at Hospital Medical Center in Kosovska Mitrovica, had been detained at the Jarinje crossing while he had been driving minor children to the municipality of Srbica, for a family baptism.
"Members of the Kosovo Police stopped him because of the missing documentation for the children, took the children out of the vehicle, and mistreated Todorovic in front of them, and when he objected to them, they took him into custody," the announcement states.
The Office for Kosovo and Metohija, it is added, had immediately hired a lawyer for the arrested Todorovic.
"It is about another case of the mistreatment by the Kosovo police, which daily looks for excuses and justifications to mistreat and detain the Serbs, and Todorovic's case stands out because he experienced mistreatment in front of his three children, aged twelve, eight and five, and on the Patron Saint day," it was stated in the announcement.
