The Office for Kosovo and Metohija stated that the detention of Luka Zlaticanin (45) from Gorazdevac for singing songs was "a reflection of the anti-Serb hysteria and hatred of Albin Kurti's regime."

The Office emphasizes that instead of detaining and prosecuting those who brutally killed Serbian children at Bistrica, a Serb from Gorazdevac has been detained, allegedly for disturbing public order and peace.

"It is particularly telling that Zlaticanin was detained almost a week after the alleged offense, which points to a staged persecution and ethnic background in this case, aimed at unsettling and intimidating Serbs in Metohija," the statement said.

They further state that Zlaticanin has been placed in 48-hour police custody and transferred to a station in Decani, where he has been provided with free legal assistance and a lawyer to represent him.

The Office for Kosovo and Metohija emphasizes that Zlaticanin is the father of three children and that his family has lived in Gorazdevac for decades, never leaving their homeland.

"With this action, Serbs in Metohija are being targeted with the goal of intimidating and ultimately expelling them from these areas, while Albanian extremists continue to write hate and terrorist KLA graffiti daily, threaten, harass, and beat Serbs, and those who shot at Serbian children walk free," the statement from the Office for Kosovo and Metohija concludes.
