Office for Kosovo and Metohija: By painting over murals, Kurti shows the hatred of his anti-Serb policy
The Office for Kosovo and Metohija reacted after murals dedicated to tragically deceased young men were painted over in Leposavic, stating that Kosovo’s caretaker Prime Minister Albin Kurti, by painting over murals from North Mitrovica, Zvecan, and now Leposavic, demonstrates the full hatred and obsession of his anti-Serb policy.
While suffering defeat after defeat on the political scene in Pristina, the Office for Kosovo and Metohija pointed out, Kurti attempts to mask his debacle with such provocations in northern Kosovo, which, they assess, are intended to directly create new tensions, hostility, and divisions among the peoples of Kosovo.
“In his hatred, Kurti does not understand that every honorable Serb carries the Serbian tricolor in their heart, remembers their church dignitaries, tragically deceased Serbian young men, and lives by the idea ‘For there is no turning back from here,’ as written on the painted-over graffiti,” the Office for Kosovo and Metohija stated.
They added that such actions cannot stop the determination of the Serbian people to protect their homes.
“All of this represents a stone of Serbian resolve for our people to remain on their land and protect their homes, and no nighttime actions can prevent that. No honorable Serb from northern Kosovo and Metohija will submit to Kurti or his henchmen and will always proudly carry the Serbian tricolor in their heart, remember their ancestors, and follow their path. As our people say – your painting over is in vain,” the Office for Kosovo and Metohija stated.
Yesterday, in Zvecan and North Mitrovica, unknown individuals, with the assistance of the Kosovo Police, painted over murals associated with Serbian national symbols and historical figures, including a mural dedicated to Patriarch Pavle and Metropolitan Amfilohije.
Today, in Leposavic and Socanica, murals dedicated to tragically deceased young men, Djordje Lukovic and Jovan Milanovic, were painted over.
