Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani received Italian Deputy Prime Minister and Head of Italian Diplomacy Antonio Tajani and Minister of Defense Guido Crosetto and on that occasion pointed out that Kosovo institutions in coordination with allies were making intensive efforts to find an acceptable solution to the license plate issue within 48 hours, Klan Kosova reports.

As stated in the announcement of the President of Kosovo, Osmani discussed the latest developments in Kosovo and the dialogue with Serbia with the Italian ministers.

According to her, Serbia is trying to destabilize Kosovo through "illegal structures" in the north of Kosovo, the statement added.

Osmani expressed her commitment to peace, security and the rule of law throughout Kosovo and emphasized that the success of the dialogue process required equal treatment of the involved parties.

The President of Kosovo underlined that the final result of the dialogue should be mutual recognition. In that spirit, she emphasized that the dialogue process must not be allowed to be used as an instrument of Serbia to undermine Kosovo's Euro-Atlantic path.

The press release points out that Osmani received the support of the Italian Deputy Prime Minister for visa liberalization, as well as for membership in the Council of Europe.

She said that she appreciated Italy's contribution within KFOR and stressed the need to increase cooperation with Italy in the field of defense.

"Kosovo considers Italy a partner, with which it aims to deepen bilateral relations in many areas," Osmani stressed, welcoming the Italian side's idea of organizing a joint economic forum of Italian and Kosovo businessmen.

According to her, Kosovo has made important steps in the area of judicial reform and implementation of the rule of law. Osmani says that Kosovo has great potential in qualified young people and that it offers a suitable environment for foreign investments.
