Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani met in Munich with the new EU representative for dialogue, Peter Sorensen, with whom she discussed the latest developments and the future course of the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue.

In a post on the social network X, Osmani emphasized that Kosovo remains steadfast in working with its allies to ensure that the dialogue process leads to mutual recognition.

"In Munich, I had my first meeting with the EU’s new Representative for Dialog, Peter Sorensen. We discussed the latest developments and the path ahead for the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue. Kosovo remains steadfast in working with our allies to ensure the dialog process leads to mutual recognition and safeguards our constitution, sovereignty, and territorial integrity," Osmani stated.

Interestingly, the meeting was held under the symbols of Kosovo and the EU, despite the fact that the EU does not recognize Kosovo and maintains a status-neutral position in the dialogue process, and consequently, the special envoy for dialogue is also expected to remain status-neutral.

According to the published photos on social media, the meeting was conducted on a status-equivalent bilateral basis.
