Pasic: Constitutional Court ruling binding, Kurti’s obstruction politically motivated

Lawyer Dragan Pasic stated that the ruling of the Constitutional Court of Kosovo regarding the constitutive session of parliament is legally binding, while caretaker Prime Minister Albin Kurti is obstructing it for political reasons.
"Albin Kurti, clearly guided by political motives, is obstructing a court decision even though he knows it is binding, since the court is an independent branch of government, independent from both the executive and legislative, but responsible for upholding constitutionality and legality," Pasic told Kosovo Online.
He specified that the Constitutional Court ruling of August 8 entered into force once the reasoning was published, and that the prescribed 30-day deadline for convening parliament began from that moment.
"In any case, it is binding for everyone, and especially for those in the so-called caretaker government," Pasic emphasized.
