Peci: Erdogan would have wanted a representative from Kosovo at the NATO summit, but had no one to invite

Political analyst Lulzim Peci assessed that the fact Kosovo's institutions are not functioning with a full mandate affects the country's international representation, expressing his belief that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan would have liked to have someone from Kosovo at the NATO summit in Ankara, but perhaps had no one to invite.
"I believe Erdogan would have liked to have someone from Kosovo there, but perhaps he had no one to invite. You don't have a president with a full mandate, only an acting president. All of these are factors that have an impact," Peci said, as reported by RTV 21.
Peci also said that only heads of state and government of NATO member states participate in the summit.
"Only presidents and prime ministers of NATO member states take part in the NATO summit. As for participation in the summit, Kosovo, like any other country that is not a NATO member, cannot take part in the meeting of the North Atlantic Council. That meeting is reserved exclusively for member states," Peci said.
