Peter Sørensen on meetings with Petar Petkovic and Agron Bajrami: Defining a roadmap for the normalization of relations between Serbia and Kosovo
EU Special Representative for the Belgrade–Pristina Dialogue, Peter Sørensen, announced that he had held separate talks with Petar Petkovic and Agron Bajrami with the aim of defining a roadmap for the normalization of relations between Serbia and Kosovo in the coming months.
“This week, I held separate, detailed meetings in Brussels with both chief negotiators to define the roadmap for the normalization of relations between Kosovo and Serbia in the months ahead,” Sørensen stated in a post on the social media platform X.
During the talks with Sørensen, Petkovic stressed that Serbs in Kosovo are exposed to almost daily political and institutional pressure from Pristina, warning that Albin Kurti resorts to unilateral and escalatory moves to the detriment of the Serbian people ahead of every election.
The meeting between Bajrami and Sørensen was also attended by Kosovo’s acting foreign minister, Glauk Konjufca, who stated that Kosovo remains committed to dialogue aimed at achieving mutual recognition.
Following his meeting with Sørensen, Serbian Foreign Minister Marko Djuric stated that Belgrade is prepared to engage in negotiations on the establishment of the Association of Serb-majority Municipalities, but not on recognition.
