All of Albin Kurti's claims about Serbia's involvement in the attack on the Ibar-Lepenac canal have been reduced to ceremonial uniforms "found who knows where" and some badges, stated Petar Petkovic, Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija, reacting tonight to the Kosovo Prime Minister's Facebook post. In the post, Kurti shared a photo of emblems seized during the investigation, which he claimed prove Serbia's and Russia's involvement in the attack.

Petkovic noted that a week has passed, yet Pristina has not presented a single piece of evidence to support, as he put it, the false accusations that Belgrade participated in the attack on the Ibar-Lepenac canal.

"Kurti's plan to use the sabotage of the canal to bring in the Kosovo Security Forces (KSF) and accuse Belgrade has failed. In the absence of evidence, Pristina resorts to propaganda and political attacks on official Belgrade. From all the uproar, Kurti's 'evidence' has been reduced to ceremonial uniforms found who knows where and some badges," Petkovic stated in his release.

He added that while there are many political accusations and unofficial papers where Pristina attacks Belgrade, there is no evidence to back them up.

"The international community has already realized that this pre-election trick by Kurti has nothing to do with Belgrade, which is why he is so nervous. For seven days, Pristina has been full of accusations but empty-handed. Belgrade will not let this issue go until it is proven who is responsible for the explosion at the canal," Petkovic emphasized.

The director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija also pointed out that Kurti's attempt to blame the Serb List for the canal sabotage would not succeed. He noted that two days ago, Kurti even barred Serb List MPs from entering the Pristina Assembly, accusing them of terrorism related to the canal.

"With this entire incident, Pristina has entangled itself like a chick in a tangle, not knowing how to extricate itself," Petkovic concluded.
