Petkovic: Releasing Kurtaj from detention legitimizes Kurti's policy of hunting the Serbs

The Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija in the Government of Serbia, Petar Petkovic, has reacted to the decision of the Court in Urosevac to release Azem Kurtaj pending trial, who, on January 6th of this year, shot and injured Serbian children, Stefan and Milos Stojanovic from Gotovusa with a pistol. He emphasized that it was evident that no one would be held accountable for the bloodshed of Serbian children.

"A member of the so-called KSF, Azem Kurtaj, who ruthlessly and cold-bloodedly shot Serbian children Milos (21) and Stefan (11) in Gotovusa on Christmas Day, has been released pending trial, and Pristina is considering dropping the charges! Obviously, no one will be held accountable for the spilled blood of Serbian children," Petkovic stated on the social network "X".

He asked whether the lives of Serbian children in Kosovo had any value and noted that Kosovo's Prime Minister Albin Kurti, with this decision, had encouraged all extremists to do the same.

"While the innocent Serbs suffer in Kurti's dungeons, those who have Serbian blood on their hands are free," Petkovic observed.

He believes that the Serbs in Kosovo cannot hope for any justice while Kurti's policy of "hunting Serbs" continues.

"By the senseless decision of the so-called Court in Urosevac, Kurti's policy of hunting the Serbs has been legitimized, and once again, it has been conveyed that the Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija cannot hope for any justice. What's next, giving extremists like Kurtaj medals or erecting a monument?" the Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija asked.
