Petkovic: The Serbs don't want Kurti's propaganda, but the salaries and pensions they have earned painstakingly

Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija, Petar Petkovic, announced that the Serbs from Kosovo did not want Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti's propaganda, but their salaries and pensions that they had earned painstakingly, which the authorities in Pristina were taking away from them by attempting to abolish the Serbian dinar.

"While Kurti deprives the Serbs of their wages and social benefits, closes down their clinics and municipalities, while his government beats them and intimidates them, Kurti's tragically comical video addresses will not convince anyone to believe in him or to submit to him. You can bet your bottom dollar that Kurti won’t see that happening," Petkovic stated regarding Kurti's address in the Serbian language.

He added that the British company Henderson had been transporting money to Kosovo for years.

"In his usual shameless tirade of lies and disinformation, Albin Kurti went the furthest today by accusing the specialized British company 'Henderson' of smuggling Serbian currency. To be perfectly clear, 'Henderson' has been transporting dinars to Kosovo and Metohija for years, according to strict procedures, and has been engaged in the province in support of the United Nations mission since 2000," Petkovic emphasized.

As he added, Belgrade does not transport sacks of money to Kosovo, but conducts legal money transfers through the National Bank of Serbia, for its citizens' social benefits, salaries, pensions, healthcare, and education.

"The mentioned money is received by the Serbs through their accounts in the Postal Savings Bank, so it is an absolute lie when Kurti says that the Serbs do not have current accounts. What Kurti is trying to conceal is the fact that the Serbs are now being forced to open accounts in Pristina banks because it is a way to abolish payments in dinars, something Pristina has no right to do," Petkovic added.

According to his words, the ultimate goal of everything Kurti is currently doing is to force the Serbs from Kosovo to leave through economic exhaustion and uncertainty, in order to fully implement the policy of ethnic cleansing, which, he states, Belgrade will never allow, just as it will never abandon its people or allow the Serbs to be deprived of their earnings.

"Likewise, the Serbs from Kosovo and Metohija will not allow Kurti to oppress them, as they have endured great challenges and will withstand this oppression as well," Petkovic concluded.
