Queues for petition in Leposavic and Zubin Potok, citizens demand withdrawal of special police

Stands for signing the petition for the withdrawal of special police forces from the north were set up this morning in all places in northern Kosovo, and after Zvecan and North Mitrovica, citizens lined up to sign in Zubin Potok and Leposavic as well.

One of the stands is located in the center of Leposavic, and citizens are signing the petition en masse also in the center of Zubin Potok, near the municipality building.

Before signing the petition, several hundred Serbs organized a peaceful protest near the checkpoint of the Kosovo Police special units to raise their voice about what they referred to as poor and inhumane treatment by members of the special police forces towards them.

The petition signing began on April 13 near the checkpoint of the Kosovo Police special units at the Bistrica Bridge, on the main road between Leposavic and Mitrovica, and so far, thousands of citizens have signed it.

In Leposavic, the KFOR presence has been visibly reinforced in recent days and today.
