Petition signing for withdrawal of special police continues in North Mitrovica and Zvecan

In North Mitrovica and Zvecan, the petition signing for the withdrawal of Kosovo Police special units from the north of Kosovo continued today.

At both locations, more than 300 citizens signed within the first half hour.

In North Mitrovica, the stand for collecting signatures is located near the monument to Prince Lazar, while in Zvecan, signature collection is organized in front of the Church of St. George.

The petition initiative was launched after Milan Jovanovic was injured near a checkpoint of the Kosovo Police at the Bistrica Bridge. During last week's large protest, citizens and the wife of the wounded Jovanovic called on citizens to sign the petition to stop further violence against Serbs in the north.

A large number of citizens who want to sign the petition have gathered today at both signing locations.
