Journalist and writer Zivojin Rakocevic stated for Kosovo Online that the real question was whether the property of the Decani Monastery would even be registered in the cadastre, given the complete confusion surrounding the matter.

"If the Constitutional Court made that decision, is the Government now superior to the Constitutional Court, and does the Government decide on behalf of the Constitutional Court? No one knows. And what kind of decision is that? Does someone now take the decision paper and go to the cadastre to register it? No one knows that," Rakocevic said.

As he added, the point is that, as things stand, the municipality of Decani was supposed to register the land in the cadastre, and that was the decision of the local authorities in Decani.

"The essential question is how Ramush Haradinaj will react to this now, how he will react to Kurti's decision in the municipal structures, and the real question is whether this registration will even happen. Of course, it is a complete farce in which you actually realize that there is no institution, that decisions are made by Escobar coming and negotiating, and then Escobar is promised that it will be done. We have yet to see whether it will be done," our interlocutor emphasized.

He added that "this is a place of general provisional administration" where there was no decision even for the ban on the import of Serbian goods.

"Even for that, there is only verbal information. Now these notices, semi-notices, new papers from the Government of Kosovo towards Decani are starting, and we'll see what happens there. We must never forget that some president of the local community in Drenica or some local power figure in Decani is older than all institutions and that his word is final," Rakocevic concluded.
