The path may be different, but the goal in the end remains only one: Serbia must recognize Kosovo, ask for forgiveness, and in the end Albanians must unite, Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama told for Klan television.

"The goal is the same, but the paths are different. I differ from Albin Kurti regarding relations with Serbia. I think that my way is shorter and that I am right. But it is up to Kurti to decide what Kosovo should do," he emphasized.

When asked if he agreed with Kurti's position, he answered: "I don't want to get into the issue that is on the shoulders of the prime minister and the authorities in Kosovo." It is common knowledge that I have my own ideas and my own approach, the goal is the same, I think that Serbia should recognize Kosovo, ask for forgiveness, and at the end of this process the Albanians should unite".

On the additional question of whether Albanians will unite, Rama was clear: "Albanians must unite."

"Yes, of course Albin wants the same thing, but I think differently about the way to get there, Albin thinks differently." But Albin is the prime minister of Kosovo and he has to choose, I wish him all the best and success and he should understand that I might be wrong," he said.

Rama did not want to comment on the European proposal, adding that it was a matter for which Kurti was fully responsible.

He also refused to comment on the Kosovo prime minister's statement that he should trust the Serbian president less, since, as Kurti claims, he is an offshoot of Vladimir Putin in the Western Balkans.

Despite the fact that Rama claimed he had "the right answer to what he said", he says he would prefer not to comment on it.

But he underlined "that Serbia must recognize Kosovo and apologize for all the war crimes committed against the people of Kosovo."

He said he has a good relationship with a colleague Kurti, noting that their meetings are "inspirational".
