Rohde: More concrete results needed in dialogue
The German Ambassador to Kosovo, Jorn Rohde, said that 2025 will be a year of challenges, requiring more frequent meetings and more concrete results in the dialogue, but he remains optimistic.
In a video message posted on the social network “X”, Rohde mentioned his four-year tenure as the German Ambassador to Kosovo and added that Germany and Kosovo have a special relationship, not just connected by the diaspora.
Rohde also mentioned elections that will take place in February both in Kosovo and in Germany, and called on citizens to vote.
"After four years, this is my last year here. I had four eventful years. And I want to see a very good 2025. Germany and Kosovo share a special bond. You know, it’s not just the diaspora; we also have many joint projects in energy transition, infrastructure. We have two big events in February, you have elections, we have elections. So, I urge you to vote. Because it’s important to contribute to building your future. 2025 will definitely be a year of challenges. However, I am optimistic, we have a new team in the Commission, in the European Council, and what we need is more ambition, more frequent meetings, and, more importantly, more concrete results for the concrete implementation of the dialogue," Rohde stated.
