Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija, Petar Petkovic, pointed out that the attack on the property of the Serb List MP Zoran Maksimovic from Ranilug was unacceptable and worrying, and that this incident had occurred after a series of pressures and provocations against the Serbs south of the Ibar.

According to Petkovic's announcement, this sends a message to the Serbs that they are not safe even in their own homes.

"An attack in which no one was injured by sheer luck must be taken very seriously and treated with due care, because it sends a message to the Serbs and their legitimate representatives that they are not safe in their homes, on their doorstep," Petkovic said.

He called on international representatives to use their authority to help shed light on all the circumstances of the attack, which, as he points out, must not remain another unexplained ethnic incident.

"For the Serbs south of the Ibar, the memory of all the horrors they experienced at the hands of extremists will never fade, and incidents like this only bring back the feeling of fear and anxiety in the Serbian community," Petkovic said.
