The Serb List has informed all international representatives about today’s attack on a Serbian high school graduate, providing them with “relevant materials of the incident.”

At the same time, the Serb List demanded a clear condemnation of the event and accountability for everyone in the chain of command, the party stated.

According to videos circulating on social media, today’s incident occurred in the pedestrian zone of North Mitrovica, near the main bridge over the Ibar River. The footage shows a member of the Kosovo Police attacking a Serbian high school student, repeatedly grabbing him by the neck.

High school graduates were celebrating the end of the school year today, and as they walked along the promenade, the videos show that Albanians sitting in nearby cafés were shouting at them and making the double-headed eagle hand sign.

Earlier today, Ivan Zaporozac, Vice President of the Serb List, stated that this was a targeted intimidation of Serbian youth, and that the young man had been subjected to physical harassment, neck grabbing, shoving, and verbal humiliation solely because of his ethnicity.

The Head of EULEX in Kosovo, Giovanni Pietro Barbano, condemned the excessive use of force by the Kosovo Police, stating that he was “shocked” by it.
