Citizens who left the service in Kosovo's institutions today signed contracts with the Republic of Serbia in the Kosovska Mitrovica municipality building, guaranteeing that Serbia will provide them with the income they received in the Pristina system. As some of the workers told Kosovo Online, these contracts are motivation to stay in Kosovo with their families.

Nikola Milic, a former employee of the Kosovo Police, tells Kosovo Online that the contract he signed today was a moral and financial satisfaction for him.

"By signing today's contract, it has been shown that Serbia and the entire leadership stand by us. This is a great satisfaction, both in a moral and financial sense, and this is a clear indication that we will stay and survive in these areas," Milic said.

Among the signatories of the contract is Gordana Mitrovic, also a former employee of the Kosovo Police.

"At this moment, we have received solutions, thanks to our president Aleksandar Vucic, who provides us with material and moral support for our survival," said Mitrovic.

Velimir Micovic, a former worker in the Kosovo judiciary, thanked the state of Serbia for not leaving them in the lurch.

"This means that I have the perspective that I can stay here with my family and that I can plan the future and continue living here. I would like to thank the state of Serbia for not leaving us in the lurch, but for helping us to stay here," Micovic pointed out.

Vladimir Simic, a former employee in the municipal administration, said that the signing of the contract was an incentive for him to stay in Kosovo.

"The contract we signed today means both me and my colleagues as an incentive to stay in these areas with our families. First of all, I would like to thank the President of the Republic who managed to find a solution and once again showed that the people of these areas are another important screw of Serbia," Simic said.
