Analyst Nexhmedin Spahiu told Kosovo Online that he expects the NATO summit in Ankara to focus primarily on the wars in Ukraine, Iran, and Lebanon, while noting that the Balkans will also be discussed.

"What the conclusions will be, we can only speculate. They will probably be a summary of everything that has been happening around the world," Spahiu said.

As he noted, it is difficult to imagine NATO without the United States, while the wars in Ukraine and the Middle East have put the Alliance to the test.

"They will probably try, in one way or another, to find a solution and a compromise so that NATO can continue to exist," he said.

He added that, after the summit, the member states will nevertheless be closer to one another than they have been in recent months.

"When people meet, it means they are at least closer to reaching an agreement. When they do not meet, the risk of an organization falling apart becomes greater," Spahiu concluded.
