Special Police detained another Serb from Leposavic

Today, special units of the Kosovo Police apprehended another Serb, M.M. (34), in Leposavic and conducted a search of his family home.

M.M.'s house, where he lives with his wife and five children, is located in a part of the town known as Leposavic Field by the local residents. The detained man's wife confirmed to Kosovo Online that the special police officers instructed her to remove the children during the search.

She also added that M.M. was detained because of some Facebook post, but she wasn't sure which year the post was from. She said that she had been informed that he would only provide a statement at the police station.

Neighbors of the detained man confirmed to our portal that they were disturbed by this incident.

M.M. resides in a house built for his family by the Office for Kosovo and Metohija since he, his wife, and their five children depend on social assistance.

Deputy Director of the Kosovo Police for the Northern region, Veton Elshani, confirmed to Kosovo Online that M.M. was detained and mentioned that no weapon had been found during the search of his house, despite the pictures posted on social media.
