Spokesman of the CEC: By 3 pm, the turnout was about 2.4 percent
The spokesman of the Central Electoral Commission, Valmir Elezi, announced that by 3:00 pm in the special elections in four municipalities in the north of Kosovo, voter turnout had been about 2.4 percent and that the process was proceeding without any obstacles, Koha Ditore reports.
By 3:00 pm, 1,092 of the total of 45,095 registered voters had exercised their right to vote.
"Until this moment, the election process is proceeding smoothly and there have been no announced obstacles. By 3 pm, participation in the elections is - Leposavic 110 voters - 0.83 percent, Zubin Potok - 240 voters or 3.6 percent, Zvecan 145 voters 2.07 percent, North Mitrovica 597 voters or 3.3 percent," he said.
It is expected that the next percentage of turnout will be given by the president of the Central Electoral Commission, Kreshnik Radoniqi, at 7:30 pm, when the polls close.
According to the turnout data, 313 voters voted by 11:00 am, 28 voters, or 0.21 percent voted in Leposavic, 65 voters, or 1 percent in Zubin Potok, 29 voters, or 0.42 percent in Zvecan, and 191 voters, or 1.05 percent in North Mitrovica.
