Djuric: The elections in the north are a step back in the normalization of relations and an insult to democracy

The Ambassador of Serbia to the USA, Marko Djuric, has said that the local elections that are being held today in police stations in the north of Kosovo are a step backwards in the process of normalizing relations and an insult to democracy.
Djuric said on Twitter that none of the legitimate demands of the Serbian community based on the agreement have been met and that their position has been continuously deteriorating for a year and a half.
"Kurti's government has been mocking the international community by nullifying agreements through unilateral steps on the ground and brutalizing the Serbs in Kosovo at every opportunity. It is bizarre seeing Kurti following in the footsteps of Slobodan Milosevic. We need a completely different mindset if we expect the outcomes to be any different," says Djuric.
