Svecla: Serbian parallel Institution closed in North Mitrovica

Kosovo's Minister of Interior, Xhelal Svecla, has shared details of an operation conducted by the Kosovo Police this morning in North Mitrovica, explaining that a "Serbian parallel institution" was shut down, reports Indeks Online.

Svecla emphasizes that, based on the materials provided by the police, this institution was "illegally charging, from citizens and numerous businesses, for the use of facilities under its management."

"In full compliance with our legislation, within the framework of inter-institutional cooperation and joint efforts to combat any illegality in our country, today a Serbian parallel institution in North Mitrovica was closed. According to our Police's materials, it involves an institution that was illegally charging citizens and numerous businesses for the use of facilities supposedly under their management. This misuse, carried out under the flags and emblems of Serbia, not only has been closed today but will also be thoroughly investigated," said Svecla.
