Tahiri: Djuric is meeting with Rubio, while our Foreign Minister “entered diplomacy and disappeared”
Edita Tahiri, former chief negotiator for Pristina in the dialogue with Belgrade, commented today on the meeting between Serbian Foreign Minister Marko Djuric and US Secretary of State Marco Rubio. She noted that Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani recently met with the US Deputy Secretary of State during her visit to the United States, while Kosovo’s Foreign Minister has, as she put it, “entered diplomacy and disappeared.”
“The Serbian Foreign Minister met with US Secretary of State Rubio. Our president met with the US Deputy Secretary of State some time ago when she was in the US. And let’s not even mention our Foreign Minister – she entered diplomacy and disappeared,” Tahiri wrote on Facebook.
She believes that those responsible for Kosovo’s diplomacy should be held accountable because, as she stated, they are destroying Kosovo.
Serbian Foreign Minister Marko Djuric met yesterday with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, to whom he conveyed the pressures and problems faced by Serbs in Kosovo, emphasizing that the situation requires engagement from the international community to preserve stability.
During his visit to Washington, Djuric also held talks with US Deputy Secretary of State Christopher Landau, senior State Department official for European and Eurasian affairs Brendan Hanrahan, and Special Envoy for Missing Persons Adam Boehler.
