Tahiri: Kurti's mistakes in the north and in relations with allies have led Kosovo into the worst situation ever
Xhafer Tahiri, a member of the Presidency of the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), described the approach chosen by Kosovo's Prime Minister Albin Kurti to "extend authority and sovereignty in the north" as wrong, and he added that the Kosovo Prime Minister is making a serious mistake in his relations with international officials, Ekonomia Online reports.
Tahiri believes that the measures taken by the US and the EU are harmful and that Kosovo is losing a lot, even in its relations with Albania. He further stated that Kurti, who is concerned about his personal image, is putting Kosovo in a serious situation.
"While Kosovo's right to assert authority and sovereignty in the north is justified, however, unfortunately, Prime Minister Kurti is unable to convince the international factor that the method he has chosen is the right one. Today, as never before, Kosovo is faced with sanctions that are harmful to the citizens of Kosovo," Tahiri said.
He assessed that Kosovo has never been in a worse situation.
"That is why there is no place on this right path for a person like Prime Minister Kurti, who has brought Kosovo to sanctions for the first time, and I believe that we will face sanctions for the last time," Tahiri concluded.
