Tahiri: The solution to the crisis is overthrowing the Albin Kurti Government
PDK MP Abelard Tahiri stated that it was concerning that the Kosovo Government had hidden from the public the fact that EU sanctions for failing to take steps to de-escalate the situation in the north had taken effect, and he warned that those measures harm relations with international partners and further progress towards Euro-Atlantic integration, as reported by Dukagjini.
"Regarding our European agenda, we cannot talk about progress because we are at a very dangerous level of development with the EU. It is quite alarming; these measures seriously harm our Euro-Atlantic future," Tahiri said.
As he warned, Kosovo is in an unfavorable position and, according to his words, the current government has brought it to a "pitiful state."
"The sanctions harm our relationship with EU member states. We are stagnating, and I believe that due to this government, we are in a pitiful state," Tahiri emphasized.
He believes that the only solution to the crisis is overthrowing Prime Minister Albin Kurti's Government, also mentioning the possibility of opposition intervention through a vote of no confidence.
"It is important that we find a way and not suffer from protagonism," Tahiri stated.
As he added, the opposition is at a crossroads and will have to take decisive steps for Kosovo.
"I believe that as the opposition, we are at a crossroads and will be compelled to make decisions that we consider very important for the future of our country. Today's assembly has failed, not to mention the parliament, which has truly failed and does not deserve to continue its work for a single day. We do not have a government; everything has stagnated," Tahiri concluded.
