The Ukrainian Ambassador to Albania, Volodymyr Shkurov, recently stated that "recognition of Kosovo is a matter of time and is on the agenda," and when asked by Kosovo Online for a comment on the colleague from Tirana, we received a response from the Embassy of Ukraine in Serbia that "Ukraine's position remains unchanged and is based on unconditional respect for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of states within their internationally recognized borders."

In a written statement provided to our editorial office, the following was also emphasized:

"We draw attention to the fact that on February 28 in Tirana (Albania), the Presidents of Ukraine and Serbia, Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Aleksandar Vucic, met. The President of Ukraine particularly emphasized the importance of Serbia's participation in the implementation of the Ukrainian peace formula. The Ukrainian peace formula can become a universal basis for ending military conflicts on the planet and overcoming global problems. We also support the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina, with the mediation of the European Union," the statement said.

Let us remind that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, after talks with Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic in Tirana, thanked Serbia for its support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, as well as for humanitarian and financial assistance to his country.

"I met with President Aleksandar Vucic and thanked Serbia for supporting the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, as well as for humanitarian and financial assistance and the welcome given to Ukrainians fleeing the war. I noted the importance of Serbia's participation in the implementation of the Peace Formula. We have agreed on further contacts to expand global support for that formula. I informed President Vucic about the current situation on the front. We also discussed security and political challenges in Eastern Europe," Zelenskyy stated.
