US Ambassador to the UN: The Ohrid Agreement is historic; we call for its quick implementation
The representative of the US in the United Nations, Ambassador Linda Thomas-Greenfield, who spoke with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia, Ivica Dacic, in New York, emphasized that it was important that Serbia and Kosovo quickly approached the implementation of the obligations from the Ohrid Agreement and that they would have the support of the US in this.
As stated in the statement of the US Mission to the United Nations, the ambassador congratulated Dacic on the "historic, legally binding agreement on normalization reached by Serbia and Kosovo".
"Ambassador Thomas-Greenfield emphasized the importance of both sides quickly implementing the obligations of the agreement and reiterated the commitment of the United States to support Serbia and Kosovo as they build normal and peaceful relations," according to the statement of the spokesman of the US mission to the UN, Nate Evans.
At the meeting between Dacic and Ambassador Thomas-Greenfield, relations between Serbia and the US were also discussed.
