Lawyer Dejan Vasic confirmed to Kosovo Online that the detention measure for his client, Sladjan Trajkovic, had been extended for another two months.

"The Basic Court in Pristina has once again extended the measure of judicial custody for Sladjan Trajkovic for another two months and, at the same time, scheduled the trial and the start of his hearing before a new panel for the 25th of this month. We are trying to secure complete documentation before the trial in this phase, which the Special Prosecutor's Office refuses to hand over to us," he said.

Vasic emphasized that the previous judge in this case had sided with the prosecution.

"We objected to that. We expect that the new members and the president of the panel will be more receptive to respecting legal provisions, nothing else. Essentially, we are not asking for more than that, except that our legal rights to defense be respected and that we are allowed equal treatment with the Special Prosecutor's Office, to have the evidence they possess," Vasic stated.
