Serbian Prime Minister Miloš Vucevic expressed hope that the administration of Donald Trump, who will assume the role of US President tomorrow, will be more receptive to Serbia's arguments regarding Kosovo.

"As far as Serbia is concerned, I believe and hope that the new administration will have at least a slightly greater willingness to listen to Serbian arguments. I do not expect them to change course, nor do I anticipate any major shift in the US position on issues most crucial to us, specifically regarding Kosovo and Metohija and the region. However, I believe that Trump's circle, or the new administration, will allow the Serbian side to present its arguments more loudly and clearly," Vucevic told TV Prva.

He added that this might also be an opportunity for Serbia, albeit not a large one.

"But it is an opportunity we must seize," the Prime Minister emphasized.

He is also convinced that Trump's second term will be marked by many significant political changes and that many decisions affecting the entire world will be made.

"I expect significant changes in terms of administrative governance, a set of laws and decisions that will soon be adopted, and radical changes in the value system," added Vucevic.

Regarding sanctions on NIS, he assured that citizens should not worry, as there will be fuel available at all stations.

"There is no need for panic; we have sufficient reserves, and for now, everything is functioning properly. But, complex discussions await us with the new administration, as well as with our Russian partners," said Vucevic.

Speaking about the Movement for the People and the State, which President Aleksandar Vucic has announced, Vucevic mentioned that the initiative's implementation would soon begin, and it is natural for Vucic to lead it.

He added that the first meetings and discussions with the citizens would be organized in the coming days.

He noted that the SNS will officially decide to join this movement in the coming days.

"This is not a movement of political parties, though political parties will be involved. It will consist of groups of citizens, individuals, intellectuals, NGOs, artists, farmers, athletes... It is a space for all who see Serbia as our only state, the only chair we sit on, the only interest we must consider. It is important for all who view Serbia as an independent and free country to join this movement," said Vucevic.
