Vucevic: Serbia and anyone in the position of defending the state is Kurti’s target

Serbian Minister of Defense Milos Vucevic stated today that Serbia and anyone in a position to defend the state regarding Kosovo was Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti’s target, RTV reports.

"Everything he said is so senseless. I may have responded a bit harshly, but I truly believe that he is the key problem of all problems, and he is a tyrant implementing terror in Kosovo and Metohija," Vucevic said on TV Prva, responding to a question about whether he had been surprised that Kurti had placed him in the forefront as the "leader of the clan" from Novi Sad.

Vucevic reiterated that Pristina was the "center of the drug cartel and all criminal groups" and added that Kurti was carrying out everything that Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic spoke about during the UN Security Council session.

"You have Kurti's narrative all the time that criminal clans are concentrated right in the communities where the Serbs live in Kosovo and Metohija. He claims that all criminal activities and clans are precisely concentrated there and that they, as some quasi-state, have the right to sanction or fight against it," he said.

He added that, unfortunately, a part of the political scene in central Serbia also accepted this narrative.

"Unfortunately, a part of the political scene in central Serbia, here in Belgrade, also accepts this narrative, and in doing so, they support Kurti so that he can say, 'I'm not the only one saying this, representatives of some Serbian political parties are also saying it', giving him some legitimacy," Vucevic emphasized.
