Deputy Prime Minister of Serbia and Minister of Defense, Milos Vucevic told Pink that Serbia, in accordance with its state and national interests, made decisions to protect the sovereignty of our state and protect the property of our citizens.

"Serbia remains committed to peace and dialogue, and will try everything that can be done, even a step further to preserve peace and seek a political agreement, to avoid any possible escalation," Vucevic said.

He stated that this required the will of two sides, not only our side, and added that we also had those who were officially moderators of the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina, and who were very often on the side of Pristina and the process of legalizing their moves.

The situation is tense, very tense, I said the other day that only one match was enough to start an explosion," Vucevic says.

He said that he believed that Serbia and the Serbs would be wise, responsible, and disciplined and that we would not fall for provocations and that we would try to avoid any possible conflict.

"This does not mean that we are afraid, but we are simply asking for a solution to be found through political dialogue to stop this ongoing terror against the Serbs, and no one can dispute that, they can call this action whatever they want, but this is now a continuous series of moves by Pristina and Albin Kurti and his government and administration, aimed at creating conditions that make it impossible for the Serbs to survive in Kosovo and Metohija," he says.

When it comes to the Petrovic family from Velika Hoca, Vucevic said that it was not really about whether they had paid excise taxes on wine or any other taxes.

"This is about creating an atmosphere so that the few Serbs in Velika Hoca in Kosovo and Metohija cannot live there because Special Forces will come with rifles to take from them, rob them, break into their houses, and put pressure on them. In Kosovo, everyone pays excise taxes, it is a country known for tax discipline and the rule of law," Vucevic said.
