The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, has pointed out tonight, regarding the local elections in the north of Kosovo, that Sunday will be a terrible day for democracy, a difficult day for the Serbian people and a day in which the shame of Europe and the world will be officially marked because of what they arranged, they welcome and do.

For TV Prva, Vucic explained why Serbs do not participate in those elections.

"Serbs left Kosovo's institutions not because of their whim, because they are crazy and silly, because they like to hold barricades and the like. They left them because Commander Djuric was illegally dismissed, Todosijevic was convicted of a verbal crime, that many Serbs were arrested, that they shot at Serbs and even at children, and now at Jovanovic," he explained.

Vucic said that after all the pressure, the construction of bases in the north, along with the seizure of land which was against their laws, after daily harassment with placards, provocation..., they said that they participated in the institutions and elections for nine years, and Pristina did not fulfills their obligation - CSM.

"You establish the CSM, then we will return to the institutions and participate in the elections," Vucic conveyed the message of the Serbs.

He pointed out that the holding of elections in four municipalities in the north of Kosovo would embarrass the Quint, and that the only goal of the West was to help Kosovo, and to break Serbia, which, he tells them, he will not allow.

The goal of everything, as he said, is that when the Management Team presents the Draft Statute of the Community of Serbian Municipalities, Kurti, whose mayors will lead the municipalities in the north, says - that those four municipalities do not want to join the CSM.

He reminded that in the 2020 elections in Serbia, which part of the opposition boycotted, criticism came from Europe and the world that those elections were not legitimate because, as they said then, there was no pluralism.

"For two years, they did not harass me, but Serbia, the citizens, with their demands. This lasted for two years with the enormous support of irresponsible people in the opposition. And that was fine at the time," stated President Vucic.

On the other hand, he pointed out, in the local elections in four municipalities in the north of Kosovo on Sunday, after the withdrawal of the candidacy of Aleksandar Jablanovic, there is not a single Serbian candidate either in Leposavic, nor in North Mitrovica, nor in Zubin Potok, and "as if there were none in Zvecan", where one candidate remained.

"There are Kurti’s and Tachi’s candidates, and there are 300 Albanians in Leposavic registered in the voter list, out of 15,000 people - two percent, and not all of them live there either. There are 60-70 of them, but they will bring people from Podujevo to vote... In Kosovska Mitrovica, they will bring people from the south to the north to vote, with 3.5-4 percent. In Zubin Potok they have about two percent of people, in Zvecan the same... Nowhere more than three or four percent, but they say that the elections are legal and legitimate. Where in the world is it? No one knows, not even themselves... Shame on them all together. The whole Quint," said Vucic.

He added that he directed all of that, including the more difficult words, to the international representatives with whom he spoke today.

"Shame on them. If we do it in Novi Pazar, where 20 percent of Serbs live... Imagine if only Serbs voted. And I'm fighting for all Bosniaks to vote, for us to have a real idea of what the people think," said Vucic.

When asked what the representatives of the West told him, he said - nothing.

"They do it because they have to support Kosovo and break Serbia. Now I know that this is their only, ultimate goal. They may break me, but I will not let them break Serbia. I guarantee you that," said Vucic.

This, he notes, is the most disgusting and malicious thing they could do.

"Not because they hate us, but because when on May 2 someone presents the Draft Statute of the CSM, then Kurti will say that he accepts it, but that there are no Serbian municipalities that want the CSM. Because he will be the mayor of all four municipalities," said Vucic.

These elections will go down in the history of world embarrassment, with a turnout of two or three percent, and that was rigged, because those people don't live there, he said.

"They will be the most shameful in history held anywhere in Europe, under the direct patronage of the international community," he underlined.

Vucic called on the citizens of northern Kosovo to be calm.

"Let them do their dirtiest work. At least we will know that we have a clean occupation," underlined Vucic.

He said that then it would be seen what they would do about the CSM.

"We will not move a finger until they establish the CSM", he said.

Vucic assessed that "everyone is turning Serbia upside down together".

“Kurti isn't even sly or crooked. He knows they are on his side. When someone gives you these choices, you know you can do whatever you want. Well, in the conversation with the Albanians in Bujanovac and Presevo, they clearly say that they will never form the CSM. They lied to us all the time. These agreements remind me of others with other powers that were made just to buy time with no intention of enforcement. They decided to pick on us, because they can't pick on the big country," he underlined.

Vucic said that the peak of democracy was when elections were organized in police stations and containers, and with two percent of voters. He emphasized that such elections had never been seen before.

"Imagine if there were such elections here. And for these, Freedom House will say that this is an unprecedented level of democracy", he pointed out.

He added that a large number of police officers and members of the international forces will provide security for the voters, of which there will be a few in the three smaller municipalities, and "more than a few" in North Mitrovica.

He said that Belgrade did not threaten Jablanovic or anyone else and that it was the international factor that threatened Serbia every day.

"You think you can destroy a country and a people, to finish what you started in 1999? No way," said Vucic.

At the end of the interview, Vucic said that the Republic of Srpska was also under great pressure and greeted the Serbian people in the north of Kosovo, repeating the appeal to be peaceful and dignified.

"I congratulate our people in the Republic of Srpska and Kosovo and they should be calm and dignified. We will overcome the irresponsibility of even the most responsible countries in the world with the strength of our will, our firmness, responsibility and seriousness," he stressed.
