Vucic: I am glad that Norway is our partner; there are indications of big investments
As a part of his official visit to Norway, the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, visited the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) in Trondheim, where he met with students from Serbia. After the tour, Vucic said that there were made the contacts that would be important in the future, Pink reports.
"I'm glad that Norway is our partner, that they want to work with us, and that we learned a lot today," Vucic said.
As he says, we have to be open to the world, to learn from them. He adds that he is proud of being able to learn a lot.
"At the University, but also in research centers and factories, we mostly met people from Bosnia and Serbia. I am very happy that these people are thinking about when and how to return to Serbia, as well as to some other countries in the region." Vucic said.
Vucic stated that there were indications of large investments. He adds that we should see what is best for Serbia.
"We have to achieve certain things. We have to have the pre-emptive right of refusal to purchase electricity. These are not easy deals, the easiest thing is to attract investments, but we have to find out what is our greatest interest in all of this," Vucic said.
The president said that we had to invest about 10 billion in Serbia's power grid and transmission lines alone. As he says we will do it with those who can do it in the best way.
"They make lithium batteries here, and we stick our heads in the sand and say that we will live on three kilos of flour alone. It can't be like that, we have to keep up with the world," Vucic says.
