President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic attended a reception hosted by the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Antonio Guterres, in honor of the heads of delegations.
Vucic stated on his Instagram account, "buducnostsrbijeav," that this week in New York provided an opportunity to exchange views with world leaders on the current situation in Europe and the world, challenges related to migration, climate change, and sustainable development, and to further advocate for peace and stability in the region.
"Today and in the coming days, we have a large number of meetings ahead, and I will continue to work for Serbia as best as I can during this challenging period," Vucic noted.
In addition to his discussions with UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, Vucic mentioned that he had participated in extensive conversations with the President of the European Council, Charles Michel, and the President of Cuba, Miguel Diaz-Canel.
Earlier, Vucic attended a meeting organized by the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Josep Borrell, for leaders from the Western Balkans. He emphasized that he had utilized this informal lunch to continue the fight for maintaining peace and stability and accelerating the development of Serbia and the entire Western Balkans.
