Vucic: Serbia is working on stabilization and will continue to respect international law
President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic stated today, in response to remarks by Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti, that Serbia is working on stabilizing the situation and will continue to work on respecting international law and preserving peace and stability.
Asked about Kurti’s statement that Serbia has not abandoned efforts to destabilize Kosovo and that it considers it its territory, Vucic emphasized that Serbia is working on stabilizing the situation.
“Serbia is working on stabilizing the situation and will continue to work on respecting international public law, United Nations Security Council Resolution 1244, the Charter of the United Nations, and preserving peace and stability,” Vucic told reporters.
Among other things, he also stated that in the coming days he expects talks with the winner of the Hungarian elections, Tisza leader Peter Magyar.
“I expect in the coming days a detailed, thorough, serious, and responsible discussion with Peter Magyar on Serbian-Hungarian relations, and I believe that we will continue to build good relations between our brotherly peoples and friendly countries,” Vucic added.
